The history of the hotel

Sachs distinctive Georgian building set in its own grounds was a central landmark in Dublin's social scene. Along with the Berkeley Court Hotel and Burlington Hotel in Ballsbridge it was the place to be seen on a Saturday night. Local celebrities from the surrounds of Donnybrook, Ranelagh and Dublin flocked to the nightclub. On Sundays the same crowd would gossip over jazz and brunch.

The hotel is a unique blend of Georgian excellence and modern amenities. Originally six Georgian townhouses, the feature windows flood the stylish bedrooms with light. The generous bedrooms have retained their Georgian proportions in keeping with the high ceiling height. Period details such as the feature ceiling moldings are highlighted by the tasteful modern furniture and lighting giving the hotel its unique character.
